Privacy
We don't sell your call history.
This policy explains how Project Codex, Inc. (“Omen,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use the Omen website, iOS app, and App Clip.

Information we collect
Calls and Record information
When you make a call, we store the question, your YES or NO side, the server timestamp, the source surface, a pseudonymous caller identifier, and information needed to resolve and score the call. If you claim a handle, that handle and its Record are designed to be public.
Account information
If you create or recover an account, we receive an account identifier and contact information such as your email address from the authentication method you choose. An authentication provider may also supply basic profile metadata, such as a name or avatar. Omen does not receive your Apple or Google password.
Device, notification, and local information
We use a random device identifier to keep an unclaimed Record intact. The web app stores calls, preferences, and short-lived session identifiers in browser storage and uses first-party cookies for account sessions and continuity. If you enable notifications, we store an Apple Push Notification service token.
Usage and diagnostics
We collect named product events, performance measurements, error information, app surface, question identifiers, and pseudonymous device and session IDs. We do not use session replay, keystroke recording, or automatic screen capture. Our servers may process IP address and request information for delivery, security, abuse prevention, and operational logs.
Messages to us
If you contact support, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you choose to send.
How we use information
- Save, keep, settle, and show calls and Records.
- Hide social information until a caller commits and enforce other integrity rules.
- Authenticate accounts, restore Records, and deliver requested notifications.
- Operate, secure, debug, measure, and improve Omen.
- Respond to support, privacy, safety, and legal requests.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and manipulation of the Record.
What is public
Omen is pseudonymous. A claimed handle and the Record attached to it are public by default. A Record may include calls, timestamps, resolutions, results, and domain-level performance. Omen does not require you to connect a handle to your real-world identity. Before you call, we hide anything that would show you how other people called.
How we share information
We use service providers to run Omen, including Vercel for hosting and delivery, Supabase for database and authentication services, PostHog for product analytics, and Apple or Google when you use their authentication or notification services. These providers may process information only to provide services to us or as the law permits. We require them to protect personal information to standards at least as protective as this policy and applicable law.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets with appropriate protections. We do not sell identifiable call history, and we do not use an individual Record to target advertising.
Retention and deletion
Calls are intended to be permanent, append-only records. We retain them to preserve the integrity, chronology, and auditability of Omen. Other information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information by emailing hello@projectcodex.io. We may need to verify your identity. Where a complete erasure would compromise the integrity of the Record or conflict with a legal obligation, we may retain the minimum necessary information in deidentified, pseudonymous, or restricted form and will explain the applicable limitation.
Your choices
- You can use Omen under a pseudonymous handle rather than your real name.
- You can decline or disable notifications in iOS Settings.
- You can sign out and clear Omen browser storage using your browser controls.
- You can contact us to exercise privacy rights available where you live.
Security and transfers
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encrypted transport, scoped credentials, and database row-level security. No system is completely secure. Omen and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate, subject to appropriate legal safeguards.
Adults only
Omen is intended for people age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Changes
We may update this policy as Omen changes. We will post the revised policy here, update the date above, and provide additional notice when a change materially affects how personal information is handled.
